This intensive is intended for those who wish to teach Yin, as well as for anyone who wants to learn more about the profound benefits of this meditative, therapeutic and philosophically-rich practice. You will learn the fundamentals of the Yin practice from both a historical and modern perspective that you can apply to your personal practice, your teaching (if applicable), and your life.
Satisfy your curiosity by participating in this all levels, two-hour workshop. Inversions tend to evoke varying emotions. Some of which can prevent a person from even attempting the first step toward what appears a difficult if not impossible posture. Challenge your comfort zone and be willing to try something new. Or, if arm balances already exist in your practice, take this workshop as a refresher.
Senior Mindstream Yoga teacher Kristen Lassiter will provide an in depth explanation as well as demonstrate the "layers" of six different arm balances and inversions: Crow, Baby Crow, Supported Headstand, Tripod Headstand, Firefly, and Forearm Stand.
The class will warm up with approximately a 40 minute yoga flow. Afterward be prepared to watch, listen, learn and practice. Wear comfortable clothing, bring water, your mat, and a smile.

This lighthearted, interactive practice utilizes partners to help each other deepen into yoga postures as well as assist with balance. Partners take turns learning various postures and basic adjustments to use with another person.
Bring your mat, your partner, and your easy going sense of adventure to this all levels, accessible, partner based workshop. Wear comfortable clothing and plan to enjoy yourself. The room will not be heated or humidified.
