What class(es) at Mindstream Yoga are best for beginners?

We recommend our SageStream class to most beginners because it offers gentle flow yoga with extra time, modifications, and props to ensure proper alignment and a safe, accessible introduction to yoga. Our FusionStream class is another great option for beginners that are looking to experience a class with heat. Does Mindstream Yoga have showers?

Yes, both the men's and women's locker rooms have two showers. Soap, shampoo, and conditioner are provided. Bath towels are available for rent for $1.

Does Mindstream Yoga have mirrors in the studio?

Yes, we have mirrors on two walls in our studio room. We believe the mirrors aide students in noticing their alignment in postures throughout class and add an element of focus to student's practice.

Does Mindstream Yoga play music during class?

Yes, our classes feature music chosen by the teacher to reflect the energy, mood, and style of class.

Does Mindstream Yoga have yoga mats?

Yes, we both rent and sell yoga mats. Rental mats are available for $2 per class. Our retail boutique has a wide selection of mats for sale in a range of sizes, prices, and style.

What is the minimum age to attend classes at Mindstream Yoga?

Students must be at least 12 years of age to attend class at Mindstream Yoga (with the exception of kids and teen yoga). Students ages 12-15 must attend class with a parent present in the class with them. All students under 18 years of age must have a parent signature on their liability waiver.

Do teachers at Mindstream Yoga offer physical adjustments and assistance during class?

We believe that physical adjustments and assistance can enrich a yoga practice when provided by knowledgeable and experienced teachers. While all of our teachers will use physical assistance to maintain safe alignment in class, we allow our teachers to determine the extent to which they use adjustments as they teach.
